Join us tonight for a very special episode of Midnight Soulstice. The first hour is all about the James Brown sound. Fred Wesley, Funk-innovator and leader of James Brown's band of the 1970s, the J.B.'s, will join us live in the studio to chat about his work with the Godfather of Soul. Fred has guested on our show before, but tonight marks his first time being at our Richmond studio. In the second hour, we will feature an exclusive rare Soul and Funk mix by DJ Soulparanos from Paris, founder of the french DJ collective of the same name. A passionate collector of rare vinyl, his selections up on YouTube are popular among diggers worldwide. His message for tonight is simple, but coming from the heart: "Get ready for this, I think this is gonna please a few people around the world. I hope you'll enjoy this up and down selection !!!
